Birthday Weekend

My better half turned 26 this weekend. We spent the weekend with his family in Park City snowboarding, relaxing, and eating a lot of yummy food. Needless to say I really needed the weekend getaway. I realized how much our "life" has taken over. This is such a small window just for us. I need to start taking advantage of it.... in short I am pretty determined to go on another vacation soon.

Enough about me, more about my lover.
Things may not always be perfect,
and days when words just don't come out right.
but, I love you more and more all the time.
So grateful you were born 26 lovely years ago.

xoxo,

Your wife

Dog Lovers

This will make you cry.. but someday in the far far future (my dogs will live forever)..I hope. I know this will bring me comfort :)

I know that just like our friends and family will will see our dogs, cat, and pets again someday.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "

2012

I am not sure if its just me, but as I get older the years are going by much faster. This year has been a year of growing up. Trey and I are both working grown up jobs (well kinda) and are no longer going to school (thank heavens).

here are some highlights/goals we reached in 2012.. mostly for my records since one of my new years resolutions is to start writing my personal history.

-Graduated from Utah State University with our bachelors
-Moved in with my parents (not a huge highlight, no offense mom and dad)
-MOVED out of my parents house into a cute little house in Sugar house
-Landed my dream job at lululemon athletica
-Certified in TRX
-Trained in mat Pilates
-Trey got a job at Resorts West in PC
-Celebrated 2 years of marriage
-Introduced another four legged friend into our family (doc holiday)
-I started teaching TRX at BURN
-Trey BUILT a snowboarding box (its a big deal)

for some reason new year's resolutions give me anxiety. Instead I am going to set goals for my self, and have by whens. Its kinda the same thing but just sounds less generic.

Trey doesn't like the sound of 2013 (odd number)  but I am hoping for a good year. We're crossing our fingers we make it to Germany this year, and other than that I am not sure what  2013 will bring? a baby? or another four legged friend??? (Joking Abi). We have no huge plans, and this gives me less anxiety.

Happy 2013

The dreaded grocery store

Not sure when in my life grocery shopping became such a dreaded even in my life . I am one who really loves to eat food just not pick it out. Maybe its because every time I check out at the cash register I am cringing as it jumps from $25 to $100!!!  wonder if I was rich and famous would I like it because I would have a lot of money..scratch that if I was rich and famous I wouldn't be at a grocery store.. there are peasants for that :)

Maybe I need to take a cooking class. There really are two problems here.. lack of money, and lack of knowledge about how to make really healthy food. I would say I am a pretty healthy eater but it takes talent to make broccoli taste good... talent that I just don't have.

End of vent.

Tomorrow I will go grocery shopping, buy lots of yummy food, and be the best house wife ever...

(but really does anyone else agree with this post?)

Friday Fun

Recently Trey's discovered Frisbee golfing, its actually become an obsession. He goes with my little brother weekly. The scenery is so relaxing.. if you cant tell by the pictures its beautiful. Usually I start out semi competitive, and then by the end I am just throwing my Frisbee for the heck of it chasing little jet around. I know that these are the moments in life that I'll look back and cherish..
