Beautiful Number 27 Ellie Mae

Being an Aunt is a special joy, I have had this pleasure for 14 years. I love my nieces and nephews, every time I see them they bring a smile to my face with something silly they've said or done. I am always amazed how innocent and adorable little kids can be, they have such sweet spirits and just want to be like you.

This post is for my all my nieces and nephews, but especially for the newest arrival.

Eleanor Mae Ratelle

She is absolutely beautiful, Trey and I had the special experience of being with Brittany, the amazing Mommy during her labor. Brittany was in labor for about 30 hours all natural, she is a complete warrior!! The experience will always have a special place in my heart, I have been thinking about the new parents ever since Tuesday when Ellie was born. They are going to make the best parents in the world and I cant wait till I get to experience parenthood...actually I can for a couple of years:) Trey told me he wanted one.. and then after realizing we are still both in school he changed his mind.

Congrats Brittany and Michael....you made a beautiful baby

The one and only Ellie Mae

Check out the rest of the photos here, Brittany's friend Melanie took all the pictures, she does an awesome job!!

Here are our pictures holding her.. sorry they are so small

6th Month Anniversary !!

Its our 6th month Anniversary today, time really has flown by. We have made many memories in the short time we have been married, grown a lot closer, and also had to over come some newlywed marriage woes. We were joking today that the six months we were engaged was much harder than being married for six months.

Here are a few things I love about being married:

-Having our own place
-Sleeping in the same bed (Now that we have a king bed)
-Watching our favorite T.V shows
-Going out to dinner (Sushi is our new favorite)
-Going shopping, Trey totally has style and its so fun to shop (with our small college budget)
-Working out together, hiking, riding our bikes
-Playing with Dogs (I cant wait till we get our own)
-Traveling.. hopefully the future looks bright
-Just being married to Trey has made me a better person :)

These are just a few things I love about being married

Honesty

For one of my classes (organizational communications) we were assigned to write an "Honesty" paper. For 2 days we had to be completely honest, no lying, no white lies, exaggerating, sarcasm, and we had to obey all traffic rules (no going over the speed limit, or jaywalking). If we caught ourselves doing any of these things we had to start over.... I would like to think of myself as a pretty honest person but this was hard. I decided that I failed the assignment after a class discussion, there is no way that I could have been completely honest.

Now let me explain why. It would be impossible for me to remember everything I had said or done throughout the day, and no one is perfect. However I can control the white lies, the exaggerations, and sarcasm. I have been thinking about this a lot lately and how important it is to be honest in everything we do especially in work situations. Believe me I have a lot of pondering to do... but just think about being honest.

(I really like this quote:)

"The Truth will set you free"
